This website (homeberry.ai) and the services on it are operated by Homeberry AI Solutions Ltd, trading as Sorted, a company based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect, and why
- Website analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages visited, approximate location, device type, and interaction events (for example, starting a practice quiz). Google Analytics sets cookies and collects online identifiers. We use this data in aggregate to improve the site; we do not use it to identify individuals. You can block these cookies with your browser settings or an ad blocker, and the site works fully without them. Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Study app progress — stored on your device only. The free Life in the UK Test study app stores your reading progress, quiz scores and theme preference in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device, is not sent to our servers, and is deleted when you clear your browser data. No account or sign-up exists.
- Offline caching. The study app uses a service worker to cache pages, images and audio on your device so it works offline. This is content caching, not tracking.
- Payments. The study app's optional film pass is sold through Stripe Checkout. Stripe collects your payment details and email address; we never see or store your card details. We receive from Stripe only what we need to grant access — a payment reference and the email you used. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us by WhatsApp or email, we receive the messages and contact details you send. We use them to answer you and to provide the service you ask for.
- Document services. If you engage us to help with an application (OCI card, passport, visa, PCC, PAN card, birth registration and similar), you will supply personal data and documents needed for that application — names, dates of birth, passport details, photographs, addresses and supporting documents. We use them only to prepare and progress your application, share them only with the official bodies and processing agencies the application requires (for example VFS Global or Passport Seva), and delete working copies once the service is complete unless you ask us to keep them for a future application.
- Embedded media. Some pages may embed videos hosted by YouTube or serve media from content delivery networks. When you play an embedded video, the host platform may set its own cookies and collect viewing data under its own privacy policy — for YouTube, that is Google's policy linked above. Embedded players load only when you interact with them.
Legal bases
Under UK GDPR we rely on: contract (providing a document service or film pass you have purchased), legitimate interests (understanding site usage, answering enquiries, keeping records of completed work), and consent where required (analytics cookies). You can withdraw consent at any time by blocking cookies.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
- We do not send marketing emails or messages unless you have asked for them.
- We do not require an account, sign-up or any personal data to use the free study material.
How long we keep data
Enquiry messages are kept while your matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards. Records of paid services are kept as long as UK tax law requires. Analytics data is retained on Google's standard retention settings. Study progress lives only on your device, under your control.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email info@homeberry.ai. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Our services are aimed at adults preparing citizenship, settlement and document applications. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with an updated effective date.
